After a short delay at GATWICK we arrived in Malaga and quickly transferred to our coach for the journe to Desert Springs coach 2 was entertained to MC Hindmarch who conducted an excellent cricket quiz for all the boys . After a short stop at the closest thing the Spanish have to a service station we then arrived at the resort at about 7.45pm The boys quickly headed off to their accommodation dumped their bags and got back to the crocodile for an excellent first meal of the tour.

Tuesday started with 8am breakfast to fuel the day. We arrived at the excellent cricket facility at 9.15am and by 10am the first game of the trip was underway. Mr Chaloner and Mr Kember's group prevailed in a high scoring game against Mr Kendrick and Mr Morris's group (more details to follow). The remaining groups took part in batting, bowling, fielding and tactical sessions. The afternoon game between groups 3 & 4 is now underway and I willl soon report on the result.

This evening the boys will take part in a leadership challenge before a recovery swim in the pool. Dinner in the crocodile club will round off a superb first day in sparkling blue skies

With less than a month until we leave for our Desert Springs Cricket Camp details of teams and rooming arrangements will be available soon.

Boys have been divided into 5 groups. 2 older groups of roughly equal ability and 3 younger teams of roughly equal ability. Accommodation has been allocated within these teams by year group and alphabetical order.

I will also confirm baggage allowance shortly. Please remember all boys will need to meet at Gatwick at 7.30am on the 3rd April and collected from Gatwick on the 7th around 10pm.
