Day 5 - Max Orr

Day 5 - Lake Taupo

After our first game against Hamilton tired bodies hauled themselves onto the coach for more of Mr Webb's David Brent-esque chat; only the prospect of Peanut Slab, a stupendous confectionery, kept some boys going. To break up the journey we stopped in Taupo. Its famous lake is thought to be the product of one of the biggest volcanic eruptions in the world. This didn't stop Myself and Joe who dived into the clear water only to inevitably have their clothes stolen which left them charging along the path after other boys in their pants. The rest of the journey went through the stunning Taupo-Napier road which had lovely views and vistas until we finally reached the exciting city of Hastings.
